How I felt this morning and how Jesse describes as giving the world ‘the rude finger’.

Waking up ‘on the wrong side of the bed’ is not a statement that in any way describes the level of frustration I am feeling towards my two children who, since waking at 5.30 am, have done nothing but whined, moaned and argued. This morning Jesse and Indi have disappeared and left in their place two children who are seriously emotionally unstable. They are highly irrational and should carry warning signs that they are in fact weapons of mass destruction… beware!

Please see them listed on e – bay this morning…

I feel your pain.  I have four children of my own, and whereas they are older and a bit more independent than your own, there are days when they act every bit the ages of between 3 and 6.  They, too, have been slated for sale on e-bay more than once or twice.  Hang in there. It does get easier.

I don’t have much to contribute since I don’t have kids, but I know there were plenty of times my brother and I (1 year and 1 day apart) drove our mom insane when we were young….we fought like cat’s and dogs all the time! Hang in there Vashti, how many bids have you gotten on e-bay for them? lol

    • Bonjoes

Love how you put things Vashti!! I so have this moments where my kds jet seem to argue about EVERYTHING!! Luckily lately it’s getting a bit better. They are both older and making more of a attempt to be kinder and even spend more time together, lol. Our daughter has been sleeping in he brothers room. They have been giggling away, playing with toys, watching movies. Huge to you and I hope your little munchkins give you lots of hugs and ksses today =)

Love, love LOVE  the Picture, and soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo agree with you. My 2 boys are 5 and 7. Both Drama Kings and one with Autism. He is outrageously “dickkish” in the mornings–EVERY morning. Just ARGH!!!!!!  But I so feel one with you Sweetie!!!

  • Alexiscarril

Wow!! The picture blew me away!!!  Amazing!  As far as the little unstables are concerned, they are letting their pain come through it seems like.

  • Melinda Brezmen

I generally dislike my kids in the mornings. I’ve warmed back up to them by the afternoon. ;)

Sorry for the double post! Not sure how that happened.  Is there a way to delete it?

  • Theresa

You just described my daughters. This was them today. Thank God others moms deal with this.

  • Jkuhl

I never believed in “pod-people” until I had children. :p

I can some-what relate, having two children with ADHD and a 15 year-old, who has her Drivers Permit and thinks she’s an adult! And to think, I have to go through this again, two more times…Oh vey!!! I think I we all wake up on the wrong side of the bed sometimes!

Mornings are a challenge, unfortunately, for kids of any age! I do have to say though, it gets worse when they become teenagers! Brace yourself…… All they want to do is sleep until 3:00 in the afternoon! (no exaggeration either!). So far, the trick with my 4 year old grand-daughter, Makayla, is to just wake her up gently, and pleasantly, and let her do or watch something she enjoys before she goes off to school…… Which lately is watch “The Phantom Of The Opera”……(she takes after her grandma!) LOL. Seems if they start off on a good note, they most likely will end on one as well. Good Luck…… And keep smiling! :-)

Thanks for the offer but with mine I have enough ….. XD

  • Claire

I’m with you on this one Vashti. My 13yr old and my 19yr old can quite happily drive me to dispair one minute, and then have me in fits of laughter the next. The joys of having babies huh, lol :) x

  • Kim

Wow, I remember those days…oh wait, I still have them. Not so much in the mornings any longer, just any other times that my 11 and 17yr old kids are in the same room with each other! I’m told it gets better…..anxiously waiting for that day, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world!

  • Cyndi Federico

Your speaking my language Vashti, I have a 14 old son who can’t hear me even though I am next to him bcuz he is on his phone, a 10 daughter ( with long bouncy curls as your indi ) who spends an hour brushing it straight to look like selena gomez, and a five year son whose idea of a wake up call is practicing WWE moves on my bed, grrr and WTF! Gotta love them, because I helped with the making of them……love the story, its good to know I am not alone! Adore the blog/pictures Vashti! Thank you so much for ur insight on lfe!!!

  • Elena

Hahahaha!!!! When you have said ”
seriously emotionally unstable” I  burst out laughing because that’s what I think about my little ones more times than I’d like!!

  • Irena

ROFL!!  I know how you feel…been there, done that…show me the listing, right now I have patience…

  • intrigued

haha thanks for the laugh!  As the mother of 5 I can relate and I love that you just come out and say it!

  • Erika

I feel your pain! I have four little girls and they can be quite a handful at times. ESPECIALLY mornings! Oh and afternoons and nights too ;-)

I am with you there Vashti. I have two boys that are a year and 15 days apart (12&13) and they love to argue non-stop and I think it’s just to drive me crazy…LOL. The only time I think they don’t argue is when they are on the four wheeler and dirt bike or playing the video game. Much love to you and the kiddos.

  • Storm

Wow that sounds identical to my mornings, I have two boys aged 5 and 3 that like to bicker and squabble as soon as their eyes are open. How is it they look so cute and adorable when they sleep?! Then the eyes open and the little devil horns appear!! But I wouldn’t be without them.

  • Sara

The virus must be going round & fast – my 7 year old & 4 year old Daughters caught it this afternoon, good job I love’em to bits. xx

LMAO!! This is hilarious!!! I have to say I am bad for “flipping the bird” to people on the road when they cut me off. Cuss words sometimes fly out of my mouth as well. I’m a work in progress that’s for sure =)

  • Melissa

soooo true and every mother has felt like that at some point!!

  • Chrissie

hahahahah We have all been there….My McKids are 2, 4 & 7 and there are days were I start chanting “Serenity Now” just to calm my nerves…… Yes, I have become “that mom”  : )
